The principal challenge of this multi-million dollar project was keeping the building open throughout major renovations. This project included structural and electrical upgrades, kitchen renovation for the restaurant, gutting and replacement of bathroom on first floor. Replaced parking lot with a new canopy & pond feature. Provided underground piping for soda/frozen drinks. Brought building up to current fire codes. Replaced roof. Restored structural integrity of historical canopy and front bars. Upgraded A/C throughout. Remarkably, the building remained continuously open throughout the 2 year project except for a 4-hour closure while the electrical service was being changed over.
